Although Chautauqua Institution provides numerous opportunities to shop inside the gates, don’t forget about the ‘hidden gems’ within a mile or less of the Chautauqua grounds! We’ve chosen three “Must-Visit” shops for your stay this summer:
Chautauqua Miniatures and Dollhouse Gallery & 2 Chixx Gift Shoppe

1 mile from Chautauqua Institution
Owned and operated by Sandra Duffee and Heather Johnson, this gallery and boutique shop specializes in “extraordinary” home décor, boutique clothing and jewelry, candle, cards, family games, antiques and so much more!
“They have the largest inventory of miniatures on the East Coast along with unique jewelry, clothing and gifts that you can’t find anywhere else!” says ERA Team VP Reservationist, Amelia Duffee, “They offer antiques, toys, miniatures, jewelry, knick knacks, dollhouses, clothes, scarves, just to name a few things. “I actually live near Timeless Treasures and hadn’t been there until my sisters were visiting last year, and I’m so glad we decided to check it out! What a great place with so many unique gifts!” says ERA Team VP Sales Team Member, Anne Walters, “Since then I’ve stopped numerous times for various gifts and even Christmas presents. I would recommend that anyone who visits this area should stop in. I love visiting Timeless Treasures and I don’t even like to shop!”
New items are added to the store monthly and seasonally, so there is always a reason to stop in! “I take great care to make sure that Timeless Treasures’ merchandise is unique and not sold at other local shops,” said Miele. “Our shop is a great place to find a gift for yourself or someone else.”
