When Chautauqua Institution's summer season (late June - August) is in session, expect event filled days and nights. From NorthShore's convenient location, it is an easy walk, shuttle bus or bike ride to a wide variety of outstanding lectures, performances and classes. Chautauqua Institution has much to offer during the summer; symphony orchestra, opera, dance, concerts at the Amphitheater, lectures, courses, etc. Children enjoy supervised youth activities, everything from boating and swimming classes to arts and crafts to special excursions. Enjoy the 36 hole Chautauqua Golf Club. Whether it's the picturesque beauty of the Lake Course or the naturalistic views from the Hill Course, you will definitely be treated to a memorable golf experience.

The NorthShore complex is also central to three major ski resorts within a 20 minute to 1 hour drive offering downhill skiing, cross country skiing, tubing and snowboarding. Other outdoor activities you may enjoy include ice fishing, snowmobiling or horse drawn sleigh rides. Attend the Victorian Festival or the Ice Castle Weekend on Chautauqua Lake.
